CRP Automotive has expanded the Rein Magnetic Drain Plug program with three new plugs, extending coverage across a wider range of import and domestic applications. The program now includes 17 SKUs covering more than 164 million vehicles currently on the road in the United States and Canada.
An Added Inspection Point During Fluid Service
Rein Magnetic Drain Plugs feature a flush-tip design with a captive magnet made of rare earth metals. The magnet attracts wear particles that may bypass the oil filter, helping prevent metal particles from recirculating through the applicable system.
The material collected on the magnet also provides technicians with an added inspection point during routine fluid service and valuable insight into the health of the vehicle’s applicable system.
Engineered for Proper Fit and Sealing
Rein Magnetic Drain Plugs feature aluminum construction, high-quality materials, and precision-rolled threads. Each plug is designed and constructed to strict engineering quality standards for proper sealing and fit.
A single-use crush washer is included with each plug, except the new Magnetic Transmission Drain Plug, which features an embedded O-ring.
Expanded Import and Domestic Coverage
The expansion includes two new Magnetic Oil Drain Plugs for multiple BMW and Rolls-Royce applications (CRP Part No. HWU0115) and multiple Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Plymouth applications (CRP Part No. HWU0116).
A new Magnetic Transmission Drain Plug covers BMW applications using GS6-35 and GS6-53 gearboxes, including xDrive (CRP Part No. HWU0117). Together, the three additions expand Rein Magnetic Drain Plug coverage by more than 4 million vehicles in the United States and Canada.
For repair facilities, Rein Magnetic Drain Plugs combine an upgraded replacement component with an added inspection point during routine fluid service.
