In this episode of Inside the Brands, CRP Automotive Product Manager Marie Yeager discusses two new OE-approved transmission fluids from Pentosin specifically designed for the Mercedes-Benz NAG-2 and 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmissions.
Pentosin, a leading brand of technical fluids, is well-respected by OE manufacturers and import shops for superior performance and reliability. Pentosin technical fluids meet the demanding OE standards of many of the world’s finest automobile manufacturers — with more than 30 “first fill” approvals, including selected Mercedes-Benz models.
The new ATF 134 was developed as a problem-solver to help improve shifting comfort for the new generation of Mercedes-Benz NAG-2 automatic transmissions. It meets the Mercedes 236.14 spec and is backwards compatible to the 236.12. It’s also ideal for any Mercedes-Benz five- and seven-speed automatic transmission up to 2010. ATF 134 is red in color.
The ATF 134 FE meets spec 236.15 and is a low viscosity fluid with excellent low-temperature performance. It is OE for Mercedes seven-speed automatic transmissions made after June 2010. ATF 134 FE is blue in color. Note that it is NOT backwards compatible with ATF 134.
