Plastic thermostat hose connectors are a common failure point on many BMW engines.
In this Inside the Brands episode, CRP Automotive Product Manager Alex Ragucci explains how technician feedback led to the development of an upgraded metal thermostat hose connector from Rein Automotive.
This solution originated with input from the CRP Innovation Council, a group of shop owners and experienced repair technicians who regularly share real-world failure data. Council members reported a high failure rate with the OE plastic quick connector used on BMW thermostat hoses, prompting CRP to develop a more durable alternative.
The result is the Rein Automotive BMW Thermostat Hose Connector (Part No. CHC0609), which replaces the original plastic quick-connect with a metal connector designed to better withstand heat, pressure, and long-term use. The connector fits a wide range of BMW applications and addresses a known weak point in the cooling system.
CRP is also developing complete hoses with this metal connector pre-installed, expanding Rein’s growing lineup of upgraded cooling system solutions.
This video highlights how technician insight drives problem-solver parts designed to improve reliability and reduce repeat failures.
