Rein Automotive recently introduced a “problem-solver” coolant hose kit for BMW X5s made between 2011 and 2014.
This problem-solver kit is similar to a few other Rein hose kits, and was developed based on input from the CRP Innovation Council.
Currently, BMW only sells this part as a complete assembly. The issue is that it mounts underneath the exhaust manifold — which means you have to remove much of the exhaust system, including the turbos, even if you only want to change the rubber components of the assembly.
This very time consuming job can be avoided thanks to our new problem solver kit.
PART NUMBER:
CHE0682
Our kit includes the rubber elbow, the rubber hose assembly, and the clamps needed to complete the job without having to remove the metal section. This saves hours of labor and reduces the cost by a large margin.
And you don’t have to wait until the rubber components fail to change them. If you’re putting in a new water pump and thermostat, it’s a smart idea to change these hose components at the same time…removing a weak link from the cooling system.
