Since the beginning of the Rein Automotive brand, “better-than-OE” products have always been an important part of the product mix — not to mention our overall mission.
This video covers yet another in our long line of parts that address weak points in the original units.
With input and suggestions from the CRP Innovation Council, we developed a new Rein coolant hose assembly for selected BMW models with V8 engines produced between 2008 and 2014.
On these assemblies, three hoses are joined together by a Y-connector. On the original part, this Y-connector is made out of plastic, and is prone to failure. Additionally, because the hose is located underneath the intake manifold, the repair can be very time-consuming and costly.
For years, we’ve had an OE style replacement product that works well, but now offer a new Rein-brand replacement part where the Y-connector is made of metal to ensure a longer, problem-free, service life for the hose assembly.
We offer both versions:
The plastic OE style, if you choose to stick close to what came on the vehicle
o CHE0554
o CHE0555
o CHE0691
The upgraded assemblies with the metal Y-fitting
o CHU0554
o CHU0555
o CHU0691 (coming soon)
One added benefit of the upgraded assemblies is that they also include the clamps needed for the installation.
You can find the correct one for your application on your shop’s terminal or ShowMeTheParts.com
