In this episode of Inside the Brands, David Hirschhorn discusses the importance of quality control for AAE, CRP Automotive’s industry-leading steering component brand.
Although AAE is probably best known for its remanufactured steering components — which it’s been offering for almost 30 years now — it also offers brand-new products.
Some of these products are produced abroad, but rest assured that we test every part right here in the United States.
CRP’s extensive experience with remanufacturing actually helps our quality control processes for new parts — which we believe are second to none, especially in the steering category.
For example, while a particular steering pump for the 2001-2005 Honda Civic might look fine at first glance, through our QC process we determined that the pump had a faulty valve which would cause unstable pressure that would be noticeable to the driver. It might be good enough for other brands, but it’ll never wear the AAE name.
To ensure higher quality on future production runs, we always communicate our findings back to the factories where our parts are made.
And this is just one of the dozens of SKUs that AAE brings to the steering category. Hydraulic, EPS, even electro-hydraulic. AAE has you covered.
