AAE is an industry leader in steering systems — offering both new and remanufactured steering racks, power steering pumps, gearboxes, and related power steering components.
Founded in 1987, AAE is headquartered in Tabor City, North Carolina and employs more than 50 American workers. The AAE power steering remanufacturing facility is the largest of its kind in the country. The AAE remanufacturing process is proprietary, and includes a complete bead blasting and ultrasonic cleaning of core parts.
In some cases, AAE racks are remanufactured to a better than OE standard. The Ford F-150 rack shown in this video is just one example. It not only includes an OE bearing, but also “a better-than-OE” drive belt that’s designed to last longer than the original.
In addition to investing in an improved production line recently, AAE has also invested heavily in the overall category — including electronic power steering systems. AAE has its own on-site lab to map out circuit boards, as well as an in-house Vehicle Module Simulator to ensure that every rack functions properly before it ships. As a leader in the North American remanufactured steering category, AAE’s proprietary diagnostic vehicle simulation capabilities were first to market and its efforts continue to outpace the competition.
And it’s all part of CRP Automotive — a family-owned and operated American company that has roots back to 1954. CRP is the same company that brings you AJUSA gaskets and head bolts, ContiTech timing belts and belt kits, Rein Automotive replacement parts, and Pentosin technical fluids.
