The growing popularity of electric vehicles has caused some changes to industry standards. One of these being new colors for engine oil dipsticks and funnels. The color orange, which has long been used to easily identify the dipstick is now the color of choice for high voltage wire designation in electric vehicles. Therefore yellow is now being used by Volkswagen for dipsticks and funnels.
