We hope you enjoy this special edition episode of Inside the Brands filmed live at AAPEX 2018. This video again features Charles “The Humble Mechanic” Sanville, this time talking to Alex Ragucci about Rein brand valve covers for selected BMW engines.
These plastic valve covers are the direct result of input from our customers and Innovation Council members. To reduce weight, many manufacturers have started using plastic parts in the engine bay — some of which are prone to premature failure due to warping and cracking. The BMW valve covers are just one example.
In developing these high-quality replacement parts, CRP subjected prototypes to several rounds of testing to ensure a factory-like fit and enhanced durability and longevity.
Replacement valve covers are currently available for BMW N20 and N52 engines; with the parts for N54 and N55 engines rolling out soon.
BMW valve covers often incorporate other functional elements such as the crankcase pressure/breather valve. In kit form, the Rein units are supplied with needed ancillary parts like breather hoses, OE oil caps (when applicable), and the correct gasket(s).
PART NUMBER: VCK0102 (kit for N52 with eccentric shaft sensor)
