In the first of a two-episode set of Inside the Brands, CRP Automotive’s David Hirschhorn introduces the new Rein Automotive valve covers for popular BMW engines like the N20, N52, N54, and N55.
The OE valve covers for these motors are made out of plastic and can crack and warp in the extreme temperatures of an engine bay. The majority of these BMW engines are turbocharged, which can raise under hood temperatures significantly — and the cover doesn’t even have to be warped that much to cause problems.
Knowing that cracking and warping is an issue for our customers, CRP set out to make a high-quality replacement part. And while there are other dealer alternatives out there, we feel our Rein Automotive-branded valve covers are the best option due to the time and resources we’ve invested into testing them.
We worked with a third-party testing lab here in the US to ensure that these valve covers deliver the durability customers demand. It took several rounds of testing to ensure that the material was up to our high standards. We also sent samples to our Innovation Council for feedback and field testing, and even own cylinder heads which we use to test fitment ourselves.
These Rein Automotive valve covers are now available both individually and as kits‚
which will be described in more detail in another video.
